Tycoon Seelster (Angus Hall) prevailed in his local debut on Thursday afternoon at Saratoga Casino Hotel. The Monika Krist-trained three year old cruised to a wire-to-wire win in Thursday’s $10,000 tilt for young trotters. Billy Dobson piloted the sophomore who in his two year old campaign tallied over $126,000 while competing in Canada. Tycoon Seelster came to the Spa 0-14 this season north of the border but made an immediate impact at the Spa on Thursday, setting a lifetime mark in a dominating score in which he stopped the timer in 1:56. Trainer Monica Krist has had a tremendous 2017 campaign at Saratoga with a training percentage upwards of .420 after the Thursday victory with the newest member of her stable.
