SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York (July 20, 2023) – On Saturday, July 22 Saratoga Casino Hotel will host its premier racing event of the season, the 14th Annual Joe Gerrity Jr. Memorial Pace, with some of America’s top pacers, trainers and drivers vying for a $250,000 purse.

The evening will also feature six New York Sire Stakes races for two-year-old pacing colts. Overall purses for the night exceed $600,000.

The 2023 Gerrity Pace is a full field of eight, including winners from the previous two years, Tattoo Artist and This Is The Plan. The race also features MGM-Borgata winner, Hellabalou, from the barn of North America’s leading trainer, Ron Burke.

“This year’s Gerrity is wide open,” said Peter Iovino, Race Secretary. “We expect our fans will be treated to an exciting and competitive race.”

Post time for the first race on Saturday is scheduled for 6:45pm. Parking and admission are free. Fans in attendance can receive a free Saratoga Casino Hotel umbrella with the purchase of a $2 race program, while supplies last. In addition, The Saratoga Harness Hall of Fame will host a Chicken and Pork BBQ Fundraiser trackside. Food services will also be available from Fired Up Pizza and Trackside Winner’s Circle.
