Saratoga Casino Hotel Foundation Grant Process Opens August 7
Application Deadline September 13, 2024
SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York (August 9, 2024) – The Saratoga Casino Hotel Foundation will begin accepting applications for the 2024 grant cycle on August 7. The Foundation exists to support charitable and public benefit organizations whose mission is the betterment of quality of life, health and welfare of Saratoga County residents.
To qualify for a grant, organizations must be classified as a not-for-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service and applicants must carry out services and activities that benefit the residents of Saratoga County. Activities that address problem gambling, support youth activities, senior citizens, recreation, arts and community are given priority.
“We are very proud of the partnership formed by the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors, the Saratoga Harness Horseperson’s Association and Saratoga Casino Hotel,” said Foundation Treasurer, Skip Carlson. “Over the last 20 years the Foundation grants have helped organizations that provide educational programs; service to our seniors; family assistance; food pantries; assistance for those with disabilities; and help with domestic violence and alcohol abuse.”
Grant applications will be accepted by electronic means only and the application is available on the Foundation website, www.saratogacasinohotelfoundation.org. The deadline for submitting applications is September 13, 2024.
The Foundation Board will meet on October 1, 2024 to decide on the grants and recipients will be notified by October 4, 2024 as to the status of their application. Grant awards will be presented at the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors meeting on October 15, 2024.
To date, over 200 organizations have received grants, totaling nearly $500,000. Previous grant awards can be reviewed on the website www.saratogacasinohotelfoundation.org.
