Neymar (Conway Hall) flipped the script on She’s Uncorked in Thursday’s feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel. The three year old Harry Landy trainee was looking to repeat last week in the $9,950 feature for New York Sired trotters but got tracked down by She’s Uncorked who recorded her first local victory, pulling off the mild upset. On Thursday, She’s Uncorked drew the rail but it was Neymar who moved out to the lead and would cut the mile. Driver Dan Cappello Jr got a soft first half for Neymar before stepping on the gas late with the race’s 6-5 second choice in the wagering. Neymar powered away from She’s Uncorked to prevail in 1:57.1, a new lifetime mark for the trotter who recorded his fifth win of the season on Thursday. She’s Uncorked (Mark Beckwith), the 4-5 betting favorite, was the runner up while Riverofroyalty (Frank Coppola Jr) came on to round out the triple. Neymar was the first of back to back winners on the card for veteran reinsman Dan Cappello Jr who recorded a victory with Andy Sardella’s See You Smile who came from well off the pace before stopping the timer in 1:55.1 to score at odds of 6-1.
