Her Own Land (Blissfull Hall) scored her third consecutive win on Thursday afternoon as she cruised to victory in the matinee’s $8,000 feature for fillies and mares. The six year old Melissa Beckwith trainee worked hard early and retook the lead after a first quarter in 27.3. Despite not getting much of a breather, Her Own Land powered away from her rivals in the stretch before stopping the clock in 1:54 for her third consecutive victory. Post Time Terror (Phil Fluet) got up for second while Keene Olivia (Billy Dobson) earned the show spot. Her Own Land was the race’s 3-5 betting favorite and led an exacta and triple that paid $21.20 and $54, respectively. The win was one of three on the afternoon for Mark Beckwith who entered the day second in the driver standings behind only Billy Dobson.
Live racing continues on Friday evening with a 6:45pm first post.
