Veteran harness driver, Jay Randall, first drove at Saratoga in 1977 when he won the Junior Driving Championship. He won the Johnny Page award for up & coming driver in 1982. Over the years Jay moved his base to Monticello, Yonkers and then the Meadowlands before returning to Saratoga in 2005.
Jay split his harness drives between Saratoga Casino Hotel and Plainridge Park in 2023 and still finished fourth in the 2023 SCH drivers’ standings with 135 wins.
Jay notched his 4,000th driving win in August of 2018. His lifetime purses exceed $31 million.
