Harness Racing Recap Tuesday 10/28

Arizona won the Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel for the eighth time in the 2025 campaign on Tuesday afternoon. Chris Long piloted the Melissa Beckwith-trained distaffer who was the 8-5 betting favorite in the $18,500 ladies’ feature. Long moved Arizona out to the early lead and the six year old cruised though a first quarter in 27.4 before reaching the half in a manageable 57.4. Pocket-sitter Racy Roxy A (Jay Randall) followed in the leader’s hoof steps every step of the mile before coming up second-best to Arizona who stopped the timer in 1:55.3 in her wire-to-wire victory. Alittlesidehustl N (Billy Dobson) earned the show spot. Arizona’s win was her tenth of the year and eighth in the local Fillies and Mares Open. With the earnings from her Tuesday score, the track’s defending Filly and Mare Pacer of the Year moved her ’25 bankroll to over the $100,000 mark in what is her second consecutive six-figure campaign.
