Don’tcallmefrancis (Rocknroll Hanover) scored in Saturday’s feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel. The four year old gelding made his local debut last week and announced his presence with authority, prevailing by almost five lengths while stopping the timer in 1:53.1 in a high level conditional race. This week, it was up into the Open Pace for the Al Annunziata-trained Don’tcallmefrancis who took advantage of his inside post to score in 1:53.3 on another cold night in the Spa City. Bruce Aldrich Jr was the winning driver behind the race’s even-money favorite who held off runner-up Sassy Hanover (Billy Dobson) third place finisher Givenupdreaming (Stephane Bouchard) in the $12,000 feature. Don’tcallmefrancis is owned by the Blindswitch Racing Stable of Cortlandt Manor, NY.
Live racing continues on Sunday afternoon at Saratoga with a 6:45pm first post.
