Cash Poor (Cash Hall) scored in Sunday’s $15,000 Open Trot at Saratoga Casino Hotel. Jim Devaux piloted the Harry Reddick Jr. trainee and moved the speedy highstepper first over just past the half. Cash Poor powered past the race’s leader before drawing off to win in 2:03 in the 1 1/16 mile feature. Boli (Wally Hennessey) closed sharply for second in his local debut while veteran Slugfest (Jay Randall) earned the show spot. It was the fourth victory on the season for the eight year old Cash Poor who is owned by Traylor Racing, LLC. He returned $9.30 to win and started an exacta and triple that paid $68.50 and $209, respectively.
Live racing resumes at Saratoga on Thursday with a first post time of 4:00pm.
