Amazing Sevens (Chapter Seven) outclosed his rivals to prevail in Thursday’s feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel. The Dave Spagnola-trained four year old was only lightly raced last year after having a strong freshman campaign in 2016. This season, Amazing Sevens has displayed his early-career form and on Thursday was the public’s even money favorite in the $9,000 feature for New York sired trotters. Frank Coppola Jr. sat behind Amazing Sevens as they sat patiently off the pace before picking up cover heading to the half. Amazing Sevens fanned off his cover around the final turn and powered past his competition to prevail by almost four lengths in a mile clocked in 1:59.3. It was the third win in eight seasonal tries for Amazing Sevens.
