Wolfpack Zach is the winningest horse in the 2026 racing season at Saratoga Casino Hotel thus far. Joel Flanders trains the four year old who is in the midst of a breakout campaign in which he won for the fifteenth time on Monday at Saratoga. Drawing post seven and getting away last in the $18,000 Open Trot, Wolfpack Zach made his move heading to the half mile pole, a move that would see him surge past a handful of rivals en route to becoming a first-over threat to the race’s front-runner, last week’s Open winner Platinum As (Chris Long). The two squared off after a first half that went in 57.3 with Platinum As on the engine but the early leader’s resistance proved futile as Wolfpack Zach surged past to take over and take off, opening up a decisive lead past three quarters in 1:26.2. The track’s trotting star drew away in the stretch before securing a four-length win in 1:56.2 with driver Jacob Cutting at the controls. Platinum As held on to finish second while But Why (Aaron Byron) came on to be third in the feature. Wolfpack Zach’s victory was his fifth in the Open this year among fifteen ’26 scores for owners Stuart Chambers Racing, Bcjm Inc and Divine Horse Racing.
Live racing will resume on Saturday at Saratoga with a first post time of 12pm and feature a Pick Five carryovers in race one of $7,903 and in race nine of $2,672.
