Driver Mark Whitcroft followed his father, George, into the harness racing business. A native of Ontario, Canada, Mark came to Saratoga in 1983. He was the winner of the United States Harness Writers’ Association Johnny Page Award for Up & Coming Driver in 1985.
Mark and his wife, Cheryl Davis Whitcroft, have operated a racing stable at Saratoga since 1985. Mark scored his 1,000th career driving victory in 2016.
