MeMeMe & Larry Stalbaum
Mememe won the final 2011 feature at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. The pacing mare went wire to wire to record her second consecutive win since coming to the Spa for trainer Kim Asher. Larry Stalbaum sat behind the six year old by Dragon Again who went a soft first half in :59.2 before sprinting home to prevail in 1:56.4. It was the first win in the $16,000 local open for Mememe who won while racing in a condition race last Sunday. HF’s Super Star (Chris Long) sat second and finished second while Eagle Way (Billy Dobson) earned the show spot.
This was the 2011 season finale at Saratoga. Live racing is set to resume the first week of March in 2012.
