Began racing in matinee and qualifying races in the middle 80’s and went out on his own as a trainer in the early 90’s. He ran a small stable and things began to pick up for him in 2004.

He only drove his own and only a few a year, concentrating his skills on training.

Horses trained in 2007 include Credit Lady, Cutty, Letthemagicbegin, Mom’s Charm, Off The Wall, Riddler’s Revange, Rosetta’s Hall and Vicious Cycle.

Ed was voted The Peerless McGrath Award in 2007 for up- and-coming, break-through trainer.  Ed trained the 2011 Filly and Mare $10,000 and Above Claiming Pacer, Stratus, only to be claimed from him in the latter of 2011.
