Brett comes from a long line of harness racing family, as his father is Kim Lee Crawford.  As well as many uncles, cousins and grandparents.  Brett began his racing careeer in 2007, racing a small amount of starts.  In 2012, Brett established himself, while finishing 14th in the Saratoga Harness driver standings.  He was given the award in 2011 as most improved driver, earning the Johnny Page Award for up-and coming driver of the year.
